2000-01 Fleer Showcase Basketball marked a big departure of where the brand had been a couple of years earlier under the Flair Showcase banner. Although still a premium product for the time, the tiered base set and multi-photo fronts were discontinued, making for a more conventional base set. However, one major piece that carried over was the 1/1 Masterpiece parallels.
Even without its one-of-a-kind print run, this 2000-01 Fleer Showcase Vince Carter is a masterpiece. Card #1 in the set, the high-flying youngster is pictured soaring through the air with minimal design elements. The purple of the background is the perfect team color match to compliment his Toronto Raptors uniform.
Bringing it all together, the back is stamped, ""Masterpiece 1-of-1 Collection.""
