At the onset of the 2010s, few NBA players generated as much excitement as Kobe Bryant. Coming off back-to-back championships with the Lakers—his fourth and fifth titles—Bryant's basketball cards saw a surge of interest and stood as one of the pillars in 2010-11 Playoff National Treasures, the brand's second hoops release.
The high-end offering from Panini featured 51 Colossal Materials NBA Logoman Signatures cards, each serial-numbered between /1 and /5—including this /2 example of Bryant. Panini guaranteed collectors would find at least one card from one of 12 different Colossal-themed sets in every case with this being the most prestigious of them all.
The flip side recounts Bryant’s arrival in Los Angeles following a draft-day trade with the Charlotte Hornets in 1996 and praises his longevity with the Lakers, calling him one of the “L.A. immortals.” Bryant became the first player in NBA history to spend 20 seasons with a single team and naturally holds many career records for the franchise that will prove difficult to break.
Although others came before it, this card ranks as one of Bryant's first Panini Logoman autographs. He was an exclusive spokesman for the company for several years.
This card has a dual-grade EX-MT PSA 6 with a PSA/DNA 10 autograph. It's a pop 1 in the company's census with none higher.
The certification number on this card has been checked against the third-party grader's online database and is active as of 04/21/2026.
