With no NBA-licensed cards from his first two seasons in the league, 2025-26 Topps Chrome Sapphire Edition Victor Wembanyama autographs carry tremendous significance. And while it may not have as many parallels as the similar autographs found in the main 2025-26 Topps Chrome release, all are low numbered including this scarce /50 Gold Sapphire version.
During its initial run from 1996-97 to 2009-10, Topps Chrome was one of the top brands in all of basketball cards. The line was put on hold after Panini took over as the NBA exclusive for the next 11 years. When Topps Chrome returned as a fully licensed release in 2025-26, it picked up where it left off with a strong mix of colorful parallels and autographs. It also meant the addition of Sapphire Edition, a spinoff brand introduced while Topps didn't have the NBA license.
Featuring an on-card signature, it's one of Wemby's earliest autograph cards to feature him in a Spurs uniform.
