As a child, Joe Burrow had a connection to football that most kids do not get to enjoy. His father served as an assistant coach for the Iowa Barnstormers, the Arena League football team that employed Kurt Warner from 1995 to ‘97. Burrow, born in 1996, did not get to run routes and catch passes from Warner, but because his father knew the future Super Bowl-winning QB, it forged a relationship that gave Burrow a mentor he may otherwise not have had. And Warner sees a lot of himself in the Bengals signal-caller. “I think Joe and I play the game very, very similarly,” Warner said. “Our superpowers are (the) ability to decipher defenses, to get the ball out on time, our ability to be accurate in those situations. If I look at anybody that plays right now, I would say there’s a lot of similarities between the way Joe plays and I played. He’s one of the guys I love to watch because of that.”
A year after leading the Bengals into the Super Bowl in 2021, Burrow led Cincinnati back to the AFC Championship game in 2022, further establishing his place among the NFL's elite. As far as his rookie cards go, nothing is more elite that 2020 Panini National Treasures. This /10 Holo Gold parallel features a jumbo three-color patch and crisp on-card signature.
